All tenured faculty members are required to attend Promotion and Tenure Committee meetings. Absentee votes are permitted only in extenuating circumstances and must be delivered to the Chair of the Promotion and Tenure Committee no later than one hour before the scheduled meeting. Given this requirement, the right to anonymity afforded to those faculty members present at the scheduled meeting is waived by the absentee voter.
All voters are strongly encouraged to submit a vote justification form after the proceedings. All voters have the option of identifying themselves on vote justification forms. Vote justification forms must be submitted to the Chair of the Promotion and Tenure Committee within three working days after the scheduled meeting. Those who do not vote, either at the scheduled meeting or by absentee ballot, are prohibited from turning in vote justification forms.
