Student Evaluations of Teaching

The Department of Sociology uses the following questions to assess student evaluations of teaching:

  • Course goals and objectives were clearly outlined at the beginning of the semester.*
  • The instructor was organized and prepared for classes.*
  • The instructor encouraged students' questions, ideas and comments.*
  • The instructor explained the material clearly and effectively.*
  • Students were treated with consideration and respect.*
