The Watauga County Bar Association recognized former ASU graduate gerontology student Brenda Reece with its Citizen of the Year Award at the organization's December 16, 2015 annual meeting.
Brenda is founding director of the High Country Caregiver Foundation, which was honored earlier in 2015 with an Aging Innovations Award in Caregiving from the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging.
Brenda is also the High Country Area on Aging's Family Caregiver Support Specialist. She is shown receiving her award with Julie Wiggins, director of the High Country Area on Aging.
