Drs. Lamont and Roach Embark on New Research Agenda about LGBTQ "Hooking-Up"

This fall sociology professors Teresa Roach and Ellen Lamont and undergraduate research assistant Sope Kahn will begin data collection on a new research project investigating how LGBTQ students negotiate hook ups and dating here at Appalachian State. In spite of extensive research on heterosexual hookup culture on college campuses, there are very few studies that include LGBTQ students. This project aims to help fill this gap in the literature and builds on Roach and Lamont's ongoing research agendas on sexual and romantic relationships.

So you wanna hook up?
