The Department of Sociology would like to welcome Ed Pardue who will be serving as a one-year temporary lecturer. He received his Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from UNC Charlotte in May of 2010 and his graduate certificate in Sociology from Appalachian State University in December of 2013. Ed is currently working on his second master’s degree in Adult Education from East Carolina University, which he hopes to finish this coming December. He enjoys working with college students both as an instructor and academic advisor. Ed's favorite classes to teach are the ones that combine criminal justice and sociology. He has developed several courses for different schools (including a course in research methods, crime and deviance, and social problems) and I always enjoy seeing students succeed.
