Students Present at the 18th Annual Celebration of Student Research and Creative Endeavors

Herrera

On April 23, 2015, two undergraduate sociology students, Nick Smith and Daniela Herrera, presented their senior capstone research projects at Appalachian State University's 18th Annual Celebration of Student Research and Creative Endeavors.

Through the mentorship of Drs. Beth Davison and Cameron Lippard, these students submitted research abstracts to be considered for participation and were selected to present their research in poster form. Nick Smith presented his research on the manifest and latent functions of the Watauga County farmers' market. Daniela Herrera presented her senior seminar research on the economic conditions Hispanic Immigrants face while living in Western North Carolina. Both students did an excellent job and the Department was proud to sponsor them in their endeavors!
